Registrations are now open for the 2025 Selection Process of the Zilda Arns Popular Course. There are a total of 80 spots available for the pre-university course. LIMITED REGISTRATIONS!

The Zilda Arns Popular Course offers a FREE and NIGHT course aimed at people from LOW INCOME backgrounds, organized by students from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). The course prepares students for entrance exams to some of the key public universities in Brazil, focusing mainly on the National High School Exam (ENEM) and entrance exams for State Universities in São Paulo.

This pre-university course helps students pursue ALL GRADUATE PROGRAMS in the entrance exam, not just Medicine.

  • Registration period: from 11/14/2024 to 12/27/2024 (EXTENDED!)
  • Registration fee: R$ 45.00 (forty-five reais) - ONLY FEE COLLECTED BY ZILDA

IMPORTANT: IF PAYING THE REGISTRATION FEE VIA BOLETO, PLEASE CONSIDER THAT PAYMENT CONFIRMATION MAY TAKE 2 TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS. A CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT ONCE PAYMENT IS VERIFIED.

Selection Process Stages:

1st Phase: Socioeconomic Questionnaire + Selection Exam.

I) Socioeconomic Questionnaire - To be filled by 01/12/2025:

  • The Socioeconomic Questionnaire must be completed by 01/12/2025, with the link provided in the registration confirmation email sent after payment.
  • All declared information will be verified in the second phase during the Socioeconomic Interview, with documentation listed in the Announcement submitted online.
  • Note that any discrepancies between the Socioeconomic Questionnaire and submitted documentation (or lack thereof) during the Socioeconomic Interview may lead to disqualification from the 2025 Selection Process.

II) Selection Exam - 01/11/2025 at 09:30 AM:

  • The exam will consist of 50 questions covering High School content, mainly emphasizing text interpretation and logic.
  • The exam will take place at the Centro Unit of Poliedro Course in Campinas, at Rua Dr. Delfino Cintra, 100 - Botafogo, Campinas - SP, 13020-100.
  • The exam lasts for 3 hours, scheduled from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM in rooms 05 and 06 of Poliedro Centro Campinas.
  • Candidates must bring an identity document, black or blue ballpoint pen, pencil (or mechanical pencil), eraser, sharpener, and light snacks. More details about allowed and prohibited items can be found in item 6 of the Announcement.
  • The top 250 candidates will be selected from the 1st phase for individual Socioeconomic Interviews. In cases of tied scores, both will be invited for the interview.

2nd Phase: Socioeconomic Interview from January 20th to January 27th, 2025, conducted online.

  • Candidates who do not schedule their Socioeconomic Interview between January 15th and January 16th, 2025, or who fail to attend, will be automatically eliminated from the Selection Process.
  • The Socioeconomic Interview will consist of two parts: an economic interview and a social interview, as detailed in items 7.9 and 7.10 of the announcement. Both parts will be conducted ON THE SAME DAY.


Reserved Spots:

The selection process reserves spots for the following groups:

  • Black, Mixed Race, or Indigenous: 32 spots
  • People with Disabilities (PwD): 2 spots
  • Transgender, Transsexual, or Gender Diverse: 2 spots
  • Refugees, Stateless Persons, and Holders of Humanitarian Visas: 1 spot.

Attention! For confirmation of registration, necessary adaptations, and exam time extensions, please consult item 6.7.1 of the Announcement. Candidates with disabilities must contact the team via email to validate their registration and support during the exam.


About Us:

The Zilda Arns Course is a FREE pre-university program created in 2018 by medical students from UNICAMP, aimed at low-income students in their final year of high school or those who have completed high school in PUBLIC SCHOOLS or PRIVATE SCHOOLS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS.

With a team of over 150 volunteers, including teachers, tutors, monitors, and management members, the course supports students on their journey to higher education. The team is primarily composed of undergraduate and graduate students from UNICAMP.


Support from POLIEDRO Course and School:

Support is provided by POLIEDRO Course and School, which supplies educational materials, mock exams, and pedagogical assistance at no cost to students.


Where are the classes held?

Classes for the Zilda Arns Popular Course are held in the evenings, Monday to Friday, from 6:45 PM to 10:45 PM, at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) at UNICAMP.


Where do the mock exams take place?

Mock exams are conducted in collaboration with POLIEDRO Course and School on weekends at the Centro Unit of the Poliedro Course in Campinas, at Rua Dr. Delfino Cintra, 100 - Botafogo, Campinas - SP, 13020-100.

What do we offer?

  • Educational Materials: Students have access to comprehensive materials provided by Poliedro Course and School.
  • Theoretical Classes: The course offers theoretical classes covering all subjects required for major entrance exams in São Paulo and ENEM. Classes are held at FCM every evening.
  • Essays: The course provides weekly essays modeled after ENEM and key São Paulo entrance exams for students to practice their writing skills.
  • Mock Exams: Students regularly participate in mock exams for UNICAMP, USP, and ENEM on weekends at POLIEDRO teaching units.
  • Doubt Support: Students can get help with exercises during monitored sessions.
  • Tutoring: The course offers a tutoring program to provide personalized assistance to students facing challenges in planning their studies, particularly in exact sciences and writing.
  • Review Period: The course includes a reserved review period in the calendar for ENEM and major entrance exams in São Paulo.
  • Civic Education: We offer lectures and classes to enrich our students' knowledge and culture, promoting talks and visits to museums and artistic exhibitions, as well as events that foster integration among students and course collaborators.
