Participants are invited to explore the Enclosure Bay reef under the guidance of a skilled snorkel instructor. They can expect to encounter various marine life such as snapper, spotties, eagle rays, and red moki. In addition to snorkeling, attendees can engage in learning about the local marine ecosystem through an information stall. The Waiheke Marine Project will also offer workshops on raranga (weaving) and rock painting, providing an opportunity to share stories about the sea. This activity is designed to be enjoyable for families and is subject to suitable sea conditions. Details on postponements will be communicated via email and on social media platforms.
The activity is organized in collaboration with the Waiheke Marine Project as part of Seaweek, with support from the Waiheke Local Board, The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation, and Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa.
