Christmas Tree Recycling Initiative
The collection will take place from Thursday, January 9th to Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, in the following postcodes:
LS6, LS7, LS8, LS12, LS13, LS16, LS18, LS19, LS20, LS21, LS26, LS27, LS28 and BD11.
Support the local community by recycling your Christmas tree this January.
A dedicated team of volunteers will pick up real Christmas trees directly from homes, gardens, or driveways, facilitating their recycling into wood chippings for use in local parks and woodlands or conversion into biofuels.
Every donation helps sustain the care services provided by the organization.
Due to limited collection capacity, it's advisable to arrange a collection for your tree as soon as possible.
Last year's collection raised enough funds to provide 4,000 hours of essential care thanks to generous contributions from supporters.
Contributions enable ongoing support for local families in need.
Participants are kindly requested to remove all decorations and stands from their trees, which should not be in a pot. Trees exceeding 10ft cannot be collected. If access is challenging for larger vehicles, details should be provided when registering, including a what3words location.
For those needing collection for three or more trees, it's recommended to contact the team via email or phone.
